WoW Shaman Guide

In this world, a shaman believes in the spiritual world. In the World of Warcraft, if played the right way, the shaman class can be a very powerful character. If you are thinking of choosing this character, then continue to read this guide on how to become a great WoW Shaman.

Finding a group that is in need of a Shaman or making sure that your own skills match well with this type of class is one of the most important things you should take a look at first before you start using the Shaman. Make sure that you join a group that needs a shaman. With a group, he can be a great asset.

Getting Started as a Shaman

This class is limited when starting out, for example, only the Dranei can be a Shaman for the Alliance. For the Horde, you'll only have Orc, Trolls, the Undead or Tauren. Even though, you should not take its weak points for granted, for they may be useful in the long run.

Shamans use their mana points to cast some spells. Avoid using too much or too little of your mana. It’s best to be moderate about it, not using too much or too little. If not, you may either spend all of your time trying to regenerate, or rather risk losing valuable health points.

Learning healing spells is also quite important since Shamans are usually called upon to perform such spells especially within groups. Learn healing spells as much as you can since shamans are more useful in this area, especially in a group setting. Being an asset to your group is vital because you can draw protection from it.

How to pick a Shaman profession

Physically demanding professions ( blacksmith, leatherworker) are not ideal for this class. For Shamans, herbalism and enchanting are the best professions. You may choose skinning for they are useful somehow. It is vital that you find the right balance between primary and secondary professions.

You can mix alchemy with herbalism and enchanting with alchem. Combining alchemy with herbalism, or alchemy with enchanting are also a few options you may consider. Others think that mining (as secondary profession) will help you get items, but it actually wastes your extra time in the game.

Potion making is also probably the best way to becoming a Shaman, not to mention earning money for they are in demand. It would be a good idea to focus most of your time mastering your professions as a Shaman as you may increase your skills and create better and more powerful concoctions that would not only earn you a larger amount of money, but also earn you more acclamation as well.

Although a tailoring profession can also be useful, most players like to purchase their own armor only when they need it. You can only use leather armor when you get to level 40 anyway and it's very affordable. During the journey, pieces of armors are given away as rewards. so just concentrate on professions that will provide you a steady revenue stream and more skills that can help your group.
